Alhambra Preservation Group (or APG) had its origin in 2003 with a small coalition of community members who shared an interest in and an appreciation for local history as well as a deep concern over threats to Alhambra’s historic architectural resources. APG became a non-profit organization in 2007.
Through education, advocacy and awareness-building programs, Alhambra Preservation Group seeks to ensure that the historical, architectural and cultural resources of our city are identified, protected and celebrated for their contributions to Alhambra’s heritage, economy and environment.

Perhaps a photo album of points of interest may be established on this site. Members and nonmembers could donate photos of Alhambra’s past. A late friend had a collection of photos from the 1940s and ’50s that would be of interest. Many of us are scattered throughout the US but harbor good memories of Alhambra of another time.
This is a great idea, Baron. We are currently working on getting our website updated and will hopefully be ready to launch it early next year. Stay tuned!
